Flashin’ Assassin was born from a moment on the water—a quick conversation between founder Collier Thornton and his grandfather "Pap" during a childhood fishing trip. After another successful morning catching Crappie with their handmade hair jigs, Pap stopped the boat and pointed to a piece of silver flash in the jig skirt. “This is what they like,” he said. “It catches their eye—makes them think the sun’s glinting off a school of minnows.” That memory stuck with Collier for decades.
Years later, during a frustrating morning on the water, Collier recalled Pap’s words. He realized if he had just combined that silver flash with the tube jig he was using, he might have changed the outcome. That moment sparked an idea that became a personal project—then a patented innovation.
Today, Flashin’ Assassin is the first and only company to embed fish-attractant materials directly into the lead of fishing lures. What started with Crappie and Panfish jigs is quickly evolving into a full line of premium lures built to outlast and outperform—designed by anglers, for anglers. What Sets Us Apart
